When we come together at Joliet First Assembly it is our desire to join together lifting up the name of our savior Jesus, to invite the powerful presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives and to allow the love of our heavenly Father to encourage and strengthen our hearts.
First Assembly’s congregation is represented by a variety of cultures and generations. While we recognize the many different preferences in music and styles we believe that God calls us to grow and lift up one another while we worship Him. How our services are compiled, from the music to the visuals to the Word preached, reflects a diversity and relevance that draws from our Christian roots, biblical truth, and contemporary culture in order to reveal the glory of God in our world today.
We are convinced that the very presence of God is what produces real life change, a hunger for truth, and a genuine relationship with God. In John 4:23-24, Jesus calls us as believers to worship Him in Spirit and in truth and that is what Joliet First Assembly strives for in their congregational worship setting.
