ACTS2Church.jpeg

Join us Sunday @ 9 am & 10:30 am as Pastor Rusty continues the message series - Becoming an Acts 2 Church. Church done God’s way engages the whole person in a dynamic and meaningful experience that shapes all of life. This is the kind of church we are building together. We seek to be the church seen in Acts 2 — an A2 Church — a local church with a brand new force that changes the culture around them, a church that is thriving and alive. This series of teaching is dynamic and will have a significant impact on your life. So please don't miss church this weekend. #BeABringer

Focused Prayer is a refreshing time in the Presence of the Lord on Tuesdays @ 12pm. We encourage everyone that is able to attend to join the JFA team during this hour of prayer. It will be a relaxed come & go atmosphere with live worship. These times of Focused Prayer are so powerful & we don't want you to miss out!

Small Groups

JFA Small Groups are starting the week of November 4. Many of our small groups are doing the study - The Circle Maker. Praying Circles Around Your Biggest Dreams and Greatest Fears. There is nothing God loves more than keeping promises, answering prayers, performing miracles, and fulfilling dreams. That is who He is. That is what He does. The greatest moments in life are the miraculous moments when human impotence and divine omnipotence intersect - and this happens when we draw a circle of prayer around impossible situations in our lives and invite God to intervene. It is absolutely imperative that followers of Jesus come to terms with this simple yet life-changing truth: God is for Us. If we do not believe this, we will pray small and timid prayers. If we live with confidence that God is for us, we will pray big, audacious prayers. For a list of our small groups this semester, please visit our JFA Church App (get.theapp.co/26c9). Pray about which small group God is leading you to attend and sign-up today on the app or in the lobby on Sunday morning. For more information please email nextsteps@jfa.church.

Our 80th Anniversary Celebration will be Sunday, November 18 during both our morning worship experiences @ 9am & 10:30am. We will have guest speaker, Dr. George Wood, Chairman, World AG Fellowship with us and we can’t wait to celebrate the Faithfulness of God with everyone!

MOPS

Since the beginning of time, humans have congregated around the fire for warmth, light, protection, and company. In this flame, we have something we have been given the unique ability to harness, use its power to improve our lives, a flame that has been described as the God-given spark that wakes us up in the morning and fuels our purpose and passion. Sisters, this is a year we will tend the fire in our hearts. When our homes feel cold, we will light a fire. When a friend has lost her spark, we will fan her flame. When the world seems dark, we will be an ember of hope. And to do this we will…

Live Expectantly, thinking about what could go right... Surrender Daringly in letting things go... Breathe Freely and let yourself be loved.

Come join us at the Joliet First Assembly Cafe from 9:30-11:15 AM as we Find our Fire: Semester One: October 10 & 24, November 7 & 28 and December 12... Semester Two: January 9 & 23, February 6 & 20, March 6 & 20, April 10 & 24 and May 8

Your First MOPS/MOMS Next visit is always on us! Our JFA meeting dues are $25 per semester or $50 for the entire year. Childcare provided. All moms are welcome (biological, adoptive/foster, spiritual, and future moms). Come expecting to make new friends, gain positive parenting perspectives, be encouraged, and strengthen your faith. Motherhood is hard but it doesn’t have to be lonely. Please connect with Stacey Wesche via email (stacey@jfa.church) with any questions or to get more information.

FeedONE

We are really excited about the opportunity to partner with Convoy of Hope and their FeedOne initiative. Together, we can help fight hunger and poverty by providing nutritious food and opportunities for children and families in need. Every $10 feeds a child for an entire month! Solutions to the problem of world hunger start with a warm bowl of food, which is the doorway to provide a child with an education, a healthier living environment, clean water and most importantly - hope. We are a church that has been called to be a solution provider and together with the generosity of everyone we can help take care of entire villages of children. If you would like to join us and sponsor a child for just $10 a month, here is a link to do so... https://www.convoyofhope.org/joliet

JFA Church App

JFA has launched a new church app to keep our church and community connected. Just locate the App Store or Google Play on your device. Search for Joliet First Assembly. Download the JFA App. When you open the app for the first time, it will ask you to allow notifications, by hitting yes you are able to be reminded of what is happening here at JFA without having to do anything further! For your convenience here is a quick link... get.theapp.co/26c9
